BUTTERFLY GARDENING

Gardening to attract butterflies is a popular and fun hobby that can also be taught and enjoyed by children. Two elements is all you need to attract butterflies to your garden. First you will need to have plants that the caterpillars can eat. These plants are called host plants. You'll will find different host plants will attract different caterpillars. Second you will need to include plants that will provide food for the adult butterflies, these are called nectar plants. There is a large variety of nectar plants to choose from as you will see below.
